You don't even have to source and prepare your own materials! An optional add-on kit includes everything you need to complete the book, pre-measured and ready to go.

Hi, I'm Elissa Campbell!

I've been making books the past 28 years and I sell my work professionally under the business name of Blue Roof Designs. I'm a big believer in the power of using books for self expression - my training in Art Therapy drives me to create objects that allow people to tell their stories.

I've been teaching bookbinding classes and workshops for 13 years. I offer a range of bookbinding workshops appropriate for either students or teachers. I have worked in both traditional and non-traditional educational settings, art centers, and community festivals. I have also taught online via live Zoom sessions.

I am a member of the Vermont Arts Council's Teaching Artist Roster, which grants schools funding for residencies. I'm currently acting as chair of the Book Arts Guild of Vermont. You can check out my profile on Creative Ground here.

"I had such a great time taking your class at Focus on Book Arts and 2 years later still look back at the closures whenever I need ideas :) very useful and informative."

- Insiya D.

"I loved your class at FOBA [Focus on Book Arts] and was amazed at your organization. Having been an elementary art teacher for 20 years I know the importance of having supplies ready and organized with back ups in the background. Thanks for all your thoughtfulness."

- Lenore L.

"You are warm, fun, very approachable, patient, and very giving of your extensive knowledge and expertise. I can count on one hand the number of artist/workshop teachers I have experienced over my many years who have and bring all of the above to their teaching. You are definitely one of them."

- Marilyn G.

"I am grateful that I had a chance to attend your workshop and meet you. You are definitely one of my favorite teachers. I enjoy your teaching style, your sense of humor and the stories sprinkled in between."

- Jade Q.
